I had just finished a 17 hour night shift, and wheeled my bike out of the heated room at work where I park it, and carefully parked it in the carpark ready for the ride home, i popped back into the building for 5 minutes to finish up.
on my return I found 2 people looking very ashen faced standing next to my bike, when one said "sorry mate,I just backed into your bike"....
long story short, the unlicenced,uninsured junkie cunt had reversed a car that wasnt even his, two car spaces with his boot open straight into my beautiful unmarked Thruxton and knocked it arse over head. causing damage all along the right side, smashed mirror and front brake lever, broken indicator bracket,engine cover grazed and gouged as is foot brake lever, foot peg and the beautiful upswept shiny muffler fucked, and marked paintwork on the front fender.
i watched it on cctv and am fucking gutted to say the least.
why do we bother going to fucking work, so these drop kick cunts on government hand outs....
when I returned to work on the same day to start another double shift, my work mate informed me that the shithead had returned during the day to say he "was offended by the way I had spoken to him"!!!. the cunt was "offended" ffs!!! he should be grateful that he didnt have to pick his teeth up off the fucking driveway.
ok. moving on, offload downloaded.
off to the bike shop for a mirror and brake lever,pissed off but the sun is shining, and My Storm still loves me

I spoke to the assessor yesterday to get an idea of the cost of replacing all damaged parts, and it is almost $5000 in parts alone.
the bloke hasnt got two bob to rub together, so he wont be paying.
I spent the day linishing, heating, drilling, re-shaping and polishing and lots of elbow grease, and have got my bike almost back to an acceptable condition. the mirror is on back order from England, and the brake lever is on its way from Melbourne. all in all I am pretty happy with the results.
I have accepted that these things do happen, and after the initial anger I have decided (for my own peace of mind] that I will cop the expense of repairing it, rather than get my insurance to pay, or chase him up for payment, or use some other old fashioned methods of retreiving the costs from the bloke, which I have had some mates offer to assist with
at the end of the day, it could be much worse.
now I am waiting for the frost to melt outside, and me and my Thruxton are off for a fang

A couple weeks ago humanity got a little reprieve tho when a fellow bumped my car while parked but unbelievably left me a note. I called him and he said to get an estimate and he'd pay. The estimate was a grand because the entire bumper needed repainting to fix i ting divot. I called him and told him don't worry about it. I told him, paraphrasing, in todays world full of assholes who would never consider leaving a note, i think as someone who was considerate enough to leave one i'm just going to let you off the hook. I did it just because of assholes like the ones that knocked your bike over. People like this guy need to be rewarded to set an example, or just to say thanks for restoring .01% of my lost faith in humanity.
I hope karma sends that jerk a little something painful for knocking that new thrux over. Thats a real shame. Painful just to hear it.
